Pineapple Express

"Not so good, Al"

That movie border lined sucked.

Save your money for the blockbuster rental. Unless of course you are on some controlled substance.

Die Hard 4 - yay! , Transformers - meh!

I saw both of these movies recently and I gotta say that Transformers did not live up to the hype. I found Die Hard way more entertaining.

Crazy Film: The Bridge

This is a new movie about the Golden Gate Bridge. It's all about the suicides that occur on this bridge. Pretty depressing stuff.

There have been over 1000 people who have killed themselves on this bridge and still nothing has been done about it.

Here's the trailer:

A few Movie Reviews: "Munich" and "Lucky#Sleven"

Saw "Munich" and "Lucky#Sleven" over the weekend and here is my take on the two.

Munich:

+ Good acting, based on historical events

- Long, hard to follow

Lucky#Slevin:

+ Entertaining, Good story, action

- Nothing much besides being unrealistic.

Just saw "Alpha Dog"

Jenn hooked it up with some sneak preview hook ups for the upcoming release "Alpha Dog" tonight. I wasn't expecting much but I was pretty sure I would get my monies worth (free!). Half of the people in the audience were girls waiting to see JT on the silver screen. That did not help me change my expectations in the least. But when the movie was over (about 2 hours long) I was surprised that "Alpha Dog" was actually a pretty good film. This movie is based on a true story and reminded me a lot like "Better Luck Tomorrow". MINUS the C-class Asian actors of course.

If you want to catch a film that keeps you entertained throughout the 2 hours I would recommend you catch the "Alpha Dog".

4/5 zing!

The Prestige was meh.

I just saw "The Prestige" tonight as opposed to watching "Saw III", "The Departed", or Borat because my friend was telling me about the great reviews she heard about from friends/coworkers, etc. The movie was ok but it was way too long for what it is. Maybe it's because I am not too fond of magic tricks and middle of the century themed films. Actually it may just be the fact that Scarlett Johansson did not get down and dirty in this film. I would have gave it 2 thumbs up if she did.

Still waiting to watch "Saw III".
